V-Model Horus

A hybrid-electric VTOL platform combining central lift fans, high-aspect-ratio wings, and modular heavy-lift payload capability.

Overview

Purpose-Built for Heavy Industrial Cargo

The V-Model Horus is V-SKY SYSTEMS' heavy-lift cargo platform — the step after V-Model Hera. While Hera opens certification and last-mile customers in the 35 kg class, Horus is designed to carry industrial payloads to locations that conventional logistics cannot serve. Currently in prototype development for a 220 kg payload class, Horus bridges the gap between helicopter flexibility and fixed-wing efficiency.

Its ring-fuselage architecture houses a contra-rotating lift fan system, while extended wings with winglets provide efficient cruise performance. A standardized pallet interface allows operators to transport transformers, containers, and specialist equipment with confidence.

Central contra-rotating lift fan system

Central Lift Fan

Contra-rotating fans housed within the ring fuselage deliver powerful vertical lift for take-off and landing. This ducted configuration provides efficient hover performance while maintaining a compact ground footprint for operations in confined or unprepared sites.

High-Aspect-Ratio Wings

Slender wings with upturned winglets extend range and cruise efficiency during forward flight. The wing structure is optimised for high-altitude operations, providing stable, energy-efficient transit between vertical landing zones.

Pusher propulsion and tail assembly

Pusher Propulsion & Tail

A rear-mounted pusher propeller and T-tail configuration enable efficient forward-flight propulsion. Combined with the central lift system, Horus transitions seamlessly between vertical and cruise modes — a true helicopter-aircraft hybrid.
